Chairman of the Board of Gaziantep Model Factory and Board Member of the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO), Bora Tezel, stated that the Gaziantep Model Factory plays a significant role in the Capacity Development Support Program initiated by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB). Tezel emphasized that their goal is to enhance businesses’ operational processes through lean manufacturing techniques, eliminate waste in production, and manage resources efficiently.

Highlighting that the program offers opportunities to strengthen the national and international competitiveness of businesses, Bora Tezel said, “As Gaziantep Model Factory, our objective is to help companies reduce their production costs and maintain or increase their competitive edge in both national and international markets. In this regard, the support provided by KOSGEB is of critical importance. The loan interest support under the Capacity Development Support Program will significantly contribute to enhancing the capacities of our businesses.”

Tezel pointed out that the Lean Maturity Assessment Analysis (YODA) reports, which are a prerequisite for the Capacity Development Support Program, are prepared within the Gaziantep Model Factory. He underlined the importance of YODA reports in analyzing the current status of businesses, identifying their challenges and needs, developing strategies, and designing roadmaps accordingly. He added:

“Our expert team, accredited by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and KOSGEB, is authorized to prepare YODA reports for businesses. Once a company’s application is approved, it is mandatory for them to benefit from Model Factory services. This ensures that businesses learn and implement operational excellence principles throughout the project process.”
