TOBB DELEGATES

In accordance with Article 61 of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Law on Chambers and Commodity Exchanges numbered 5174;

Each Chamber and commodity exchange is represented by at least one delegate in the General Assembly. This delegate is the chairman of the board of directors of the chamber and exchange. In the determination of additional delegates, the number of members in the electoral lists and the actual dues paid by the chambers and commodity exchanges to the Union are taken into consideration.

The number of members from chambers and commodity exchanges, from two thousand to five thousand, is one; from five thousand to ten thousand two; ten thousand to thirty thousand three; those from thirty thousand to fifty thousand are four; Those with more than fifty elect five additional delegates. Chambers and commodity exchanges with more than fifty thousand members elect an additional delegate for each more than fifty thousand members, in addition to five additional delegates.

In addition, chambers and commodity exchanges elect an additional delegate for each twenty-five times the amount of the monthly gross minimum wage valid in the year prior to the year the election was held for those over the age of sixteen, based on the average of the actual dues paid to the Union in the last four years, excluding the year the election was held. However, the number of additional delegates to be determined in this way cannot exceed twenty.

A substitute delegate is selected as much as the number of delegates selected.

In the event that the delegates leave the chambers and commodity exchanges, are expelled, die, resign or resign from the council membership, substitute members attend the General Assembly according to the number of votes they receive.

The expenses of the delegates to attend the General Assembly are covered by the chamber and commodity exchange they represent.

The General Assembly convenes in May every year.

In case of re-election by dismissing the duties of chamber and commodity exchange assemblies, the delegates to be sent to the General Assembly are re-elected.
