RECORD PARTICIPATION IN MFF MIDDLE EAST FOOD FAIR

The first edition of the MFF Middle East Food Fair, held in Gaziantep and recognized as the largest food fair in the Middle East, attracted nearly 20,000 visitors.

Organized under the auspices of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), in cooperation with the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry and Nobel Expo Fairs, the highly anticipated MFF Middle East Food Fair took place from May 7–9.

The fair drew over 2,500 international visitors from 36 countries—including from the Middle East, Europe, the Balkans, Central Asia, and the Americas—as well as thousands of domestic participants from across Türkiye, reaching a total of approximately 20,000 visitors. Bringing together the food, food machinery, and packaging sectors, the fair hosted more than 175 company meetings and showcased the products of over 220 brands.

The opening ceremony welcomed prominent national and international government officials, ambassadors from 12 countries, and 1,011 professional procurement delegations. Business delegations held bilateral meetings to explore cooperation opportunities. As a result of negotiations during the fair, Türkiye’s annual food and food technologies exports are expected to receive at least a 3% boost.

Both local and international companies expressed satisfaction with the business meetings and partnerships established during the fair, confirming their participation in next year’s edition of the MFF Middle East Food Fair. Visitors also praised the wide product variety, high organizational standards, and well-structured layout of the exhibition area.

The “Food Summit,” organized within the scope of the fair, stood out as a key industry event. Featuring expert speakers, the summit addressed topics such as sustainable food production, export opportunities, innovative solutions, and food safety. Participants engaged in knowledge and experience sharing, while the sessions contributed significantly to shaping the sector’s vision and received strong interest.

The fair not only made a major contribution to the food industry but also created a strong economic impact on the region. The hotel, transportation, and service sectors experienced a surge in activity, while the event positively promoted Gaziantep and surrounding provinces.
