
FIRST MEETING OF THE GREEN DEAL WORKING GROUP
The first meeting of the green deal working group which established under the leadership of Gaziantep chamber of industry was made with the participation of institution representatives.
At the meeting, it was issued assessments on the process, preparatory work and road map to be carried out in the preparation of the companies for the Green deal.
The chairman of Gaziantep chamber of industry Adnan Ünverdi who made the opening speech of the meeting, said that more than 5 thousand enterprises operate in Gaziantep, the large part of city’s export are made to European Union (EU) countries, and they established the green deal working group in order to ensure its sustainable.
Emphasizing that the Green Deal is of great importance for the sustainability of Gaziantep and the country's exports, Ünverdi said that "Gaziantep is one of the most important cities of the region and the country in terms of industrial capacity, producing thousands of products in 155 areas. Therefore, we held the first meeting of the Green Deal Working Group to render continuous this success of our city by joining forces with our universities, chambers, exchanges in our city.
Ünverdi said, "We can move forward faster by taking new steps with our institutions on this " and said: "We are planning to organize more comprehensive organizations together with the institutions in our city in the next period. I think that our meeting is a very important start."
