MODEL FACTORY 
AWARD FROM THE MINISTRY OF TRADE TO GSO GAZİANTEP FOOD CLUSTER
GSO Gaziantep Food Cluster was awarded at the 6th Cluster Conference organized by the Ministry of Commerce in Ankara.
As a result of applications made by cooperation organizations to the Ministry of Commerce within the scope of UR-GE project support between 2018-2023; Among all the projects applied for, Gaziantep Chamber of Industry Gaziantep Food Cluster was selected as a good practice example with its Canadian Foreign Marketing Activity.

Mustafa Özgüler, made a speech at the award ceremony, said that they, as Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, were very happy to take part in the Clustering Conference, conducted by the Ministry of Commerce, where cluster projects that make great contributions to the development of the business world and exports are reward.
Özgüler stated that we look at the history of Gaziantep industry, we see the portrait of a city that has always overcome difficulties since the War of Independence, and said, "In the difficult conditions of the Antep Defense, which go down in history, the people of Gaziantep establish the İmalat Harbiye Factory, producing bombs, cartridges and capsule since 100 year." It laid the foundations of our industry by producing it own ammunition. "Our Gazi city has come to this day by record continuous growth in the field of industry with its enterprising spirit and entrepreneurship," he said.
Özgüler stated that, as Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, they continue to work to contribute to its permanence in the international arena with the UR-GE projects carried out under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce, and added: "Thanks to the support of our Ministry, they stated that they have been significantly successful with our companies in foreign marketing activities, participation in fairs, procurement delegations, training and activities. . Our Gaziantep Food Cluster, which enabled us to take part in this organization today and was deemed worthy of the award, was a pride for us. Our cluster is a project that was implemented during the peak period of the pandemic. Despite this, an important and successful activity has been achieved with the daily support of our clustered members. Within the scope of the payment needs analysis study within the scope of our project, trainings were organized for our companies on commercial intelligence and finding customers in foreign markets within the framework of our recorded road map. We would like to thank our Ministry of Commerce, our esteemed minister, Mr. Ömer Bolat, our esteemed ministry experts, our cooperation members who make us proud by integrating with UR-GE projects all over Turkey, and our companies who take part in clusters and ensure their revival in this way, for providing this support. thank you," he said.
MINISTRY OF TRADE ABOUT UR-GE PROJECT SUPPORT AND CLUSTER CONFERENCES
Clustering Conferences organized by the Ministry of Commerce aim to share the experiences of cooperation organizations that have successfully carried out UR-GE projects since 2014, to disseminate good practice examples and to ensure that all provinces benefit from UR-GE projects.
With the "Circular on Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness" within the scope of Decision No5973, UR-GE Project Support supports the export-oriented activities of cooperation organizations within the framework of clustering understanding and project approach.
In this context, Gaziantep Chamber of Industry has implemented 15 different UR-GE projects since 2011. Contributions were made to more than 300 companies with over 50 activities through projects carried out for the textile, food, chemical plastic, machinery metal, software and informatics sectors.
These activities aim to increase the export capacity of companies and improve their competitivenes in foreign markets.
In 2016 and 2017, UR-GE project of Gaziantep Chamber of Industry were selected and rewarded as examples of good practice at Cluster Conferences.

29 COMPANIES FROM GAZIANTEP ARE IN THE ISO 500 LIST
The results of Turkey's 500 largest industrial enterprises were announced.
Adnan Ünverdi, Chairman of the Board of Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GCI), said that 29 companies from Gaziantep are on the list, according to the "Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises 2020 Research" announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISI).
